Aitana Sanz Pérez
Born in Valencia in 1999, she began her musical studies at the age of 8, going through various
choirs, in one of which she will be selected in 2012 to participate in the children’s choir of La
Bohème at the Palau de les Arts.
She combines this activity with her singing and piano studies at the Conservatorio Profesional
de Música de Valencia Nº2, finishing both grades in the course 2017/2018. She is studying the
superior degree of Canto at the CSMV under the tutelage of the soprano Ofelia Sala, receiving
at the same time classes from the soprano Isabel Rey.
With only 17 years old she debuted with the role of Barbarina in a reduction of Le nozze di
Figaro for schoolchildren and later she has collaborated in vocal projects as a soloist in Berklee
Valencia, and performed in emblematic venues such as the Palau de la Música and the Palau de
les Arts of Valencia and the Jameos del Agua Auditorium of Lanzarote.
She has also been awarded with the Professional Music Award in its autonomic phase at the
end of their studies, and debuted at the age of 19 in the 52nd opera season at the Teatro Pérez
Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the role Una voce dal cielo from Verdi’s Don Carlo.
Supposed to return to this theater in its 53rd opera season with the role Sacerdotessa from
Verdi’s Aida, it got unfortunately cancelled because of the pandemic Covid-19.
She was given the possibility to study in the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien
the past academic year with the bariton Peter Edelmann the academic year 2019/2020. As well
as she was selected to study in Italy thanks to the exchange mobility program arranged by the
European Opera Academy. She studyied then at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini di Firenze
with the Maestro Gianni Fabbrini for the first semester of this current academic year 2020/2021.
She was recently awarded in the International Voice Competition Grand Prix of Romania held
online with the prize to Excellence Prize for Russian Lied and with the first prize in the
international competition Nomea Competition.
