Austro-German tenor Max von Lütgendorff studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts. In the early years he was a member in the Choir of the Vienna State Opera and continued his studies with Kurt Rydl, Heidi Brunner, and Sylvia Greenberg. During bis studies he sang the part of Ottokar (The Gipsy Baron, J. Strauß) at the Festspielhaus Füssen, later Zandor Barinkay. He also portrayed Alfred (The Bat, J. Strauß), Monostatos and Tamino (The Magic Flute, W.A. Mozart).
He worked at Salzburger Festspiele, at Landestheater Linz, at Schloßtheater Schönbrunn as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Eisenstein (The Bat) and Don Basilio (Le Nozze Di Figaro). He sang Don Carlos by G. Verdi in Gars am Kamp, Pedrillo (The Abduction from Serail) in Bratislava and Capriccio by R. Strauss at Theater an der Wien. From 2018 to 2020 he sang several roles in G. Puccini’s operas such as Rodolfo and Cavaradossi in Vienna.
He gave concerts in Germany, Austria, Hungary. His concert repertoire includes The Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Christmas Oratorio by Bach, and Mahlers Symphony 8th in which he performed in 2018 in Sofia/Bulgaria – there he recenlty performed Gustav Mahler’s “Lied von der Erde” in June 2021.
In August he will participate in the Wagnerian Scolarship in Bayreuth and will be heard in a concert with the aria “Allmächt’ger Vater” from Rienzi. In 2022 he will make his debut as Florestan in Beethoven’s Fidelio in Vienna.
