Anastasiia Karpenko was born in 1997 into a musical family in Ukraine. As a child, she sang small roles in music theater and took part in many competitions in Ukraine she has wonthe “Golden Voice of Artek” and the “B.Hmyria” competition. From 2012 to 2014 the young artist studied choral conducting and solo singing at the Glinka Music Academy. In 2016 she won a scholarship from the Private Bank Ukraine and began studying at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna in the singing class of Melba Ramos. During her studies, she regularly takes part in master courses from Gerhard Kahry, Linda Watson, Adrian Eröd, Helge Dorsch, Rosa Cappon Poulimenou, Angelika Kirchschlager and Wolfgang Gratschmaier. During her studies, she worked on various opera projects such as “The cupping drunkard” by W. Gluck and “Der Schauspieldirektor rehearsing Zaide” by W. A. Mozart, staged by Univ.-Prof. Beppo Binder. In 2021 the young soprano will make her debut as Adina in L’elisir d’amore and as Gilda in Rigoletto at the Dnepropetrovsk Opera and Ballet (Ukraine). In summer she makes her debut as Queen of the Night in “The Magic Flute” at the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival. In addition to her numerous recitals in Austria and the Urkaine, Anastasia also devotes herself to painting – numerous exhibitions and galleries in Austria and Germany show her great talent!
