Katharina Haberl, originally from Austria, is a DMA student in Voice Performance at CGU.
In 2021, Katharina performed Musetta in La Bohéme with Ópera Cádiz and learned the role of Violetta with Vincerò Academy and was selected to prepare the role of Contessa and Mimi. She was also a semifinalist at the Concorso Internationale Di Canto Lírico Citta’ de Belluno and is a participant at the Clara Schumann Competition.
Katharina holds a master’s degree in Voice Performance from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, where she premiered several newly composed opera roles, including Queen in The Emperor’s New Clothes (N. Sohn) and Sor Rafaela in JUANA (C. Lucero) and was a young artist for the Seraphic Fire Young Artist Program. During her time with Seraphic Fire, Katharina traveled to Miami for concert tours.
Katharina holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice performance from the Conservatorio del Liceu, Barcelona, where she had the pleasure to sing alongside José Carreras in a performance broadcasted on National Television.
Katharina has won a GRAMMY AWARD with the UCLA Chamber Singers for the Best Choral Performance with Richard Danielpour’s Passion of Yeshua. Katharina is also nominated for her second GRAMMY with Tonality’s album America Will Be, where she appears as a soloist in the song Little Rose.
Katharina resides both in Los Angeles, CA and Barcelona, Spain, and travels throughout Europe and the US for auditions and performances.
